On Sunday 14/6/09, Denise & I travelled to Townsville to showcase Karla, Zeena & Mishka at the Townsville Dog Expo.
There was a big turnout with lots of interest from many people. As our display was the first one that people saw, we always had a big crowd looking at our dogs. A few had their Mals with them so our girls had a great time wooing with them. The noise they made attracted even more people who came over to see what the fuss was. Karla was a bit put out with the attention the Mals were getting so she turned her back on everyone & sooked.
Overall, it was a great day with beautiful weather and excellent visitor interest. Hopefully a few people were educated in animal care & the need to select the right breed for their pet. Our thanks to the Alaskan Malamute & Siberian Husky Social Club of Queensland for their support & Rhonda Miles of Kemulvak Alaskian Malamutes, Victoria (and the breeder of our two girls) for the use of her photos with our display.
